Olivia Byron is the Principal Lawyer and Director of Mastery Legal.

With an exceptional academic background and over 15 years of professional experience in the corporate and legal sectors, Olivia stands out as a trusted legal advisor dedicated to delivering pragmatic and efficient solutions tailored to her clients' business goals. Holding a Master in Corporate Law degree with first-class honors from the University of Cambridge and Bachelors of Law and Commerce from the University of Melbourne, Olivia has developed a nuanced understanding of complex legal issues across finance, M&A, governance, technology and regulatory matters.

Serving as the executive responsible for the Legal, Governance and Risk functions and the Company Secretary for an ASX listed technology company, Olivia spearheads critical initiatives, including listing the company on the Australian Securities Exchange and negotiating key contracts with government entities globally. Her leadership demonstrates a proven ability to balance legal precision with business pragmatism, ensuring her clients achieve value-driven results without compromising efficiency.

Her career history also includes pivotal roles at the Transurban Group and leading Australian law firm Corrs Chambers Westgarth, where she played integral parts in multi-billion-dollar transactions and strategic infrastructure projects.

Olivia currently serves as a Non-Executive Director for a Foundation that is dedicated to road safety; this experience, combined with her Company Secretary role, puts her in an excellent position to understand and apply Board and governance structures and processes. She is also a Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and a Fellow of the Governance Institute of Australia.
